Who am I?

With over 10 years of experience working as a designer, video editor, and researcher, I help researchers, universities, and organizations bring their stories to life through clear, accessible, and visually engaging videos, infographics, and data-driven content.
I’ve worked alongside researchers from OCAD University, University of Toronto, and McGill University, as well as in the industry supporting marketing and communication strategies.

I hold an MA in Digital Humanities from McGill, where I studied Open Science and how research is created, shared, and trusted. This perspective now shapes my design work: using visual storytelling to make science more accessible, equitable, and impactful.

What people say about my work?
"Stephen was able to take complex design problems and provide clear design suggestions. Very happy with his design work.”

What can I do for your research group, organization or institution?

I help researchers, universities, and organizations turn complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals. Whether it’s a data visualization that makes findings instantly understandable, a video that sparks curiosity, or a conference poster that draws people in, I bring your scientific work to life.

Using industry-standard design and video tools (Adobe Creative Suite) alongside data analysis and visualization in Python and R, I create media that is both accurate and visually compelling, tailored to your goals and your audience.

How can we work together?

Whether you have a small one-off project or a larger collaboration in mind,  we can design the right approach for your goals.

How pricing works
I offer custom quotes based on the scope of your project. Whether you're a small nonprofit or a larger institution, I aim to keep pricing fair, transparent, and scalable to your needs.

Here’s how a typical project works:
   1. Initial chat & briefing:
We’ll discuss your goals, timeline, and project details.
   2. Scoping:
I’ll provide an estimated timeline and cost.
   3. Production: I’ll work on your project and deliver an initial draft.
   4. Revisions: I include 2–3 rounds of revisions to ensure everything is aligned.
   5. Delivery: Final files delivered in your required formats.

For most projects, I ask for a 50% upfront payment and the remaining 50% upon final delivery.
If needed, I’m open to discussing other payment structures that work for you.

No project is too small or too big. Reach out and let’s bring your ideas into the world.
